Award winning documentary
Inspired by the loss of a friend’s mother, “Loved and Lost” is a 60 minute documentary that aired in April 2021, honoring health care heroes and celebrating the legacy of loved ones lost to COVID-19. It also applauds the accomplishments of the medical industry, and looks at the future of communicable diseases in America.
The documentary won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. Viewers were so moved by the project, they asked for and received a second viewing during daytime hours.

Rebekah as a morning anchor
For about four years, Rebekah anchored 3.5 hours of newscasts every day in Southern Colorado. Her day started at 2:30 a.m. when she searched for local and national content and wrote and edited original stories. She became an expert of switching tasks quickly - tweeting and posting during commercial breaks, editing scripts while her co-anchor was speaking on camera, and ad-libbing breaking news on the fly.
Rebekah as a storyteller
With a decade of experience in eight different broadcast and print newsrooms around the country, Rebekah is a storyteller at heart. Meeting crime victims’ families, talking with tornado survivors picking up their homes, and being connected with the community is what gives her the empathy to tell any story - your story - authentically.
Social media
During the pandemic, journalists had to improvise, using minimal equipment to broadcast from home. All of this was done with an iPhone, light kit, ring light, and a tripod. Mics were sold out at the time.
Live hosting
Labor Day Liftoff is an annual Colorado Springs event with thousands of viewers in person, as well as the potential of more than 300,000 viewers at home. Rebekah is also an experienced emcee for local nonprofit events.
